Weight Loss Snacking- Probiotic Edition

In my early years I hadn’t heard much about probiotics, but as the years went on, more and more studies have come out showing their an absolute necessity of you want to be healthy and especially if you want to lose weight.

I’m going to show you today how to put together a really great snack for breakfast or naughty desert and I’ll show you how to do all of that ok we’re going to use since he’s not free and we’re going to use some fresh Italian ingredients and they’re all going to be very healthy and good for you so we’re going to start with fresh strawberries lemons basil we have some granola and we have some yogurt with us so we’re going to make a beautiful parfait the first thing that we’re going to do is we’re going to take our strawberries and pretty much thinly slice them and we’re going to put them in to a glass or you can use a bowl as well and we’re going to squeeze in some lemon this is an old recipe that my mother would make all the time at parties where she would add sugar strawberries and lemon and basil and just pretty much give it out to the guests with some whipped cream over it but today what we’re going to do is going to use the same idea and we’re going to go ahead and make it a parfait we’re going to add some basil and what I would ask you to do is ahead of time just have this steep together for a while so that the strawberries absorb all that basil and lemon flavor and we’re going to assume that we’ve done that already I want to start to construct our perfect now in order to make this more of a naughty dessert if I would have you put limoncello in the strawberries and you know what I’m going to go ahead and do that now to show you how so that that can stoop in there too to their kind of drunk and strawberries and we’re going to put that in there that will probably not be a good idea for breakfast but definitely inner dessert and so we’re going to go ahead and have those steep fantastic smells so good taking up all of the aroma of the basil and so we’re going to start with our two percent yogurt which is filled with calcium and vitamin D and is a probiotic so we’re going to go ahead and do that there and this is really great for any gastrointestinal issues it’s a probiotic so it helps your mental health your immune system and makes you feel great then we’re going to add lightly some granola here and these girls are infused with roasted almonds which you can do ahead of time and we’re going to go ahead and just scoop in some of these strawberries right there with 11 and the basil which is going to kind of just fill out this and it’s already looking very beautiful as we’re doing this and go ahead and continue with building our parfait remember only use two percent yogurt not zero percent because we want to make sure that you have a little fat in the yogurt to absorb the calcium and vitamin D I never never never used fat-free dairy we’re going to go ahead and do that there and again we’re going to go ahead and put some more of our almond roasted infuse granola over it and you can see our recipe on our website it is there we are is not pretty and continue with adding these soaked limon shallow strawberries which already just it’s perfect there we are just really beautiful and at the end just to tie it all together we’re going to add some basil over top of it just to be really really pretty and here we are with our yogurt and almond crunch parfait.
